Fabregas and Nasri On their Way Out? Will Arsene Reinvest?

After two days straight of good news for Arsenal our news now was covered in news on Fabregas and Nasri’s exits today.  Nasri is believed to be on his way out and Arsenal are just waiting for Manchester City to offer the 22 million up front.  Barcelona today though have upped their bid to 25 million pounds, 6 in add on’s, and 4 from Cesc if I’m not mistaken.  Now it is still short of the 40 million pounds that Arsenal have been demanding but it looks like the Arsenal board are just as sick of this situation as the fans are and will be accepting the offer.

Now my opinion on the situation is that I’m sick of this situation and it’s hurting the team.  While I wish we would get a higher fee for our Spaniard I really only care right now about how we reinvest the money.  With the possibility of close to 60 million in pounds and the freed up wages of both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas, we really have some spending power!  Now finding the right players is very difficult as big players like Eden Hazard, and Mario Gotze are not on the market.

So who will Arsenal go for in this vast market filled with good attacking midfielders and wingers.  Well many think that Mata will be out target but I’m not so sure we’ve continued our interest with Valencia wanting to keep their Spanish playmaker.  Douglas Costa has also been a target of Arsenal and Shaktar only wanted cash when we offered Denilson.  Either way we need to put up money and we can’t low ball teams.

Speaking of reinvesting The Daily Mail has linked us with Bryan Ruiz as did a few other sources a couple of days ago.  Ruiz is a striker for FC Twente who has had much success in the Dutch League and would be a great buy.  We’re interested in his international teammate Joel Campbell but Ruiz would be a far more useful investment as far as this year goes and it seems he has a buyout clause of 13.75 million.  For a striker of his quality that can play across the line, it is a small price and would be a steal!

Lastly we’ve been linked with Borussia Dortmund play maker Shinji Kagawa…which won’t happen.  He already has Champions League and although has said he would like to move to the EPL will not make the move this year.  Dortmund will not let him and it’s only a rumor.

  1. At least you have come up with some originality in the post, unlike the Cahill,Mata,Samba, lets just repeat what the papers say, some other blogs offer.
let me throw my ‘original’ one into the mix, Michel Dawson, from Spurs, he is the best English CB in the EPL after Terry, he is sure to be an England starter in the near future and will not be on high wages at Spurs, Dawson is a better player than Cahill,Dann or Samba, one of the few who could actualy ‘improve’ us in defence.
