Polish Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is Arsenal’s number 1 after Lukasz Fabianski hurt his shoulder earlier in the year. Szczesny’s first game was a loss to Manchester United. Szczesny is known best for his shot stopping, and one on ones. He is commanding
in the box and communicates often with the defense. The 21 year old, is 6’5″ and uses that to his advantage on crosses and corners. This year he has started 15 games accumulating 6 clean sheets and 43 saves. This is his first year playing in the Arsenal First Team, last year he was on loan with Brentford inheriting the name “The Wall” and many thought he would be the number 1 from the start. In 2008 he had a training accident in which he broke both of his arms. His father is a former Polish International Goalkeeper.
